Centennial Park was originally set aside as the village market area, but was dedicated to park use in 1876, in honor of the country's 100th anniversary. It is bounded by 10th and 12th streets, and River and Central Avenues. The 5.6 acre park has pedestrian walkways, flowerbeds, a fountain, and a pond. The Veterans' Memorial and a Michigan historic marker honoring Dutch settlers in Michigan are located in the park. Brick pathways were added in 1987, making the park handicap accessible. The Centennial Park gazebo may be reserved for weddings for a reasonable fee.

The Cruisin' Critters traveling petting zoo is family owned and operated since 1995. The petting zoo is licensed by the USDA. The animals
and our facility are inspected by the USDA. The animals are also checked by the farm veterinarian. Cruisin' Critters carries a liability
insurance policy. The animals used for the petting zoo are mainly farm animals. The petting zoo display can be set up at almost any
location. We also provide hand sanitizer and wipes. We have reindeer for Christmas events.
